The morning of our rest day, we gathered outside the dorm while Kenny was interviewed by a local news crew.
We then mounted our bikes and rode three miles across town to visit Aaron.
He had quite the list of projects for us :
1. Move and reorient a shed so he can access the door without exposure to the weather
2. Put up a fence
3. Move a pool
4. Demo his front porch so that a ramp can be installed
All missions accomplished.
After the projects, we explored downtown Fargo - a cute town with lots of bars and restaurants and a great bike shop.
I was also able to pick up a book that came highly recommended : 'Wild' by Cheeyl Strayed (more on this later)
For dinner we went to Rhombus Pizza. Despite the fact that I had pizza for my previous three meals...I was glad I went because the food was delicious and the company was also fun as usual. I should also note that Bethany's brother Ted joined is that day and would be with us for two weeks. He was looking forward to biking through Glacier. (Molly, I am sorry you will miss this!)
When my table was done eating our food, we noticed that a family had left a half eaten pizza at the table next to us. One of my table mates asked the waitress if we could grab the extra pie and when she said "ummmm????...', she was asked to walk away... Which she did while laughing. We then took the extra pie and divided it up amount our crew. Someone noted that we had reached a new low...
We all headed to the dorm after dinner and relaxed. Only 57 miles the next day - which practically makes it into another rest day!!!
