Heard it Through the Grapevine

7/17 - Havre,MT to Chester, MT - 60 miles
Northern tier is a string of small towns which has its own grapevine.  Seems like most everyone has had the experience of walking into a store or restaurant and hearing from a local that they already saw some of our group in the next town up.

7/18 - Chester, MT to Cut Bank, MT - 68 miles

We heard from locals throughout the day that one of our upcoming towns, Browning, was sketchy.. They said there was lots of broken glass and wild dogs - so be careful. I was worried. Additionally, we heard that headwinds would be in force the next day.

We stayed at an RV park that night - free wifi, laundry, air conditioning and a TV!

Richard made dinner for Kristen, Rob and I - featuring green chilies.  I supplied strawberries and Rob supplied cinnamon rolls for desert - simple pleasures!

Wind buffeted my tent continuously throughout the night which resulted in 2 hours of sleep. I was tired and a bit anxious about the next day and the trip through Browning.
